In 2006 a bill went through Congress that essentially requires you to register and copyright every single piece of artwork including sketches, finished pieces, songs, sculptures, novels, poems and so on, what you'd call intelectual property. AND you have to PAY for every single copyright you register. Right now, ANY piece of artwork you do, THE SECOND YOU DO IT, IT BELONGS TO YOU. Through this bill it's only yours if you've paid for it.
